The MPDC National Dancesport Championships 2010 (Kuala Lumpur) was successfully concluded on 18th April 2010 at the Grand Perdana Ballroom, Bukit Jalil Golf & Country Resort. Deputy Minister for Youth & Sports YB Datuk Wee Jeck Seng was on hand to grace the function and give away the prizes to the winners of various events. 

A full capacity dining crowd was present to watch the vastly experienced Anthony Chua & Anita Tan dancing away with the Datuk Wee Jeck Seng Challenge Trophy in the Grade A Standard category, followed by Sarawak couple Russell Lim Jian Liang & Alexis Jap Hsiao Tding who danced impressively enough to be placed 2nd while Eejohn Chang & Grace Chong were 3rd. In the Grade A Latin Alfred Choo & Cecelia Yong emerged Champion. Jonathan Fam & Lee Yin Ying came in 2nd with Chua Zjen Fong & Evon Chong in 3rd place.

MPDC had received invitation to nominate Malaysia`s top youth couples for IDSF World Youth Standard 2010 to be held in Seoul, Korea on 1st May 2010.

1st Kulai Dancesport Championships Organizing Chairman expressed delight that the event was a great success participated by 190 couples from mainly Malaysia and Singapore. Stefano Ceccarelli and Debora Papi from Italy were on hand to perform the five Latin dances to the delight of the audience present.
